So this is the number that we should calculate the rest with. If the odds of getting a piece of timeless gear is aprox. A MUCH better deal than the timeless caches which are each.
But you don't know what type of armor you will get; cloth, leather, mail or plate. There are 8 pieces per armor type, with 4 pieces that fit them all the ring, neck, trinket and cloak. This brings the total cost on average that is of a single piece of timeless gear for a specific class to be aprox.
Still quite a bit better deal than the timeless caches. But once again, this is an average based upon phuzi0n's results, so you probably will not get the exact same results. The moss-covered chests are limited to once per player, and will not respawn -- the same goes for the Blazing Chest found in Ordon Sanctuary, and the Smouldering Chests found on the way there.
Sturdy Chests also do not respawn. In fact, there are only six chests total on the Timeless Isle that respawn not on a daily, but a weekly basis -- and there's a trick to getting them all. Hitting escape or leaving the graveyard area quickly will still make finding your corpse possible, but any spirit healer you come across will put you on a short countdown to rezzing right there if you don't again hit escape or move away quickly. Does anyone know if battleground-style death is used in any other non-battleground in the game?
